It is a key NDIS support activity and the NDIS funding covers the cost of transport to the event as well as the cost of attending the event with or without an assistant. Such community and social events are usually held outdoors or at an NDIS support centre.
People with disabilities are encouraged to actively participate in community NDIS programs as it brings in positive changes. It is also a significant step towards increasing society’s awareness of individuals with disabilities. NDIS participants benefit from such activities as it also helps them in learning new skills.
